i saw a map of the nation
split in two
as i fell in
a fainting glimpse of the all red sky
then i shut my eyes
and erased sin
watched the streets turn to a nightmare
it was so real, it was so real
it was like it was right here
i saw the interstates crowded and slow
i watched them pull bodies from their homes
i witnessed them preaching to masses
screaming at the top of their lungs
i saw them persecute the faithful in Christ
i watched as their families viewed the end of life
the beast had arisen and every man that didn't take
the mark snuffed like a light
I CANNOT LIVE HALF-ASLEEP
CLAWING AT THE WALLS FOR A SENSE OF CONTROL AND SANITY
MAKING MYSELF FEEL WITH PAIN AND REALLY WANTING LOVE
WALKING THROUGH A FOG OF DANGEROUS BEWILDERMENT
AND MISSING WHAT'S IN FRONT OF ME
I CANNOT LIVE HALF-ASLEEP
AT THIS POINT IF I DIDN'T KNOW I WOULDN'T BE LISTENING
MAKING MYSELF FEEL WITH FEAR AND REALLY WANTING LOVE
WALKING THROUGH A FOG OF DANGEROUS BEWILDERMENT
AND MISSING WHAT'S IN FRONT OF ME
